Jutlandia acquires 33,000 m² key site at the Port of Esbjerg
New strategic investment to secure space for growth and future needs
Jutlandia has just completed a significant strategic investment with the acquisition of 33,000 m² of commercial land in a prime location at the Port of Esbjerg. The site, located on Zodiakvej with direct access to both the port and the motorway, will play a vital role in the company’s development in the years ahead. From September 2025, the area will be ready to receive cargo.
“We are seeing a growing demand for space close to the quayside, particularly with the growth within offshore and green energy. This is not just a purchase—it is an investment in our future capacity and flexibility,” says owner and CEO Kristian Svarrer.
Initially, the site will be used as storage space for wind turbine components. “We expect the area to be fully leased before the end of the year,” Kristian Svarrer adds.
Meeting the growing pressure on available land
With space at the Port of Esbjerg almost sold out, competition for attractive square meters for logistics purposes has intensified. With this acquisition, Jutlandia creates a solution that meets customer demand while ensuring operational stability—also in the future.
“We are very positive about the development of the Port of Esbjerg and believe this acquisition provides a strong foundation for many years to come. Distance to the quay is a crucial factor in our industry, which is why it is important for us to secure access to land located close to the port—and this site offers exactly that,” stresses Kristian Svarrer.
Flexible development opportunities
The property, previously used as a shooting range, is designated for commercial use in environmental classes 3–5 under the local development plan. It allows construction of buildings up to 20 meters in height, giving Jutlandia the opportunity to establish production, storage, and office facilities on the site should market demand point in that direction.
The acquisition also sends a clear signal: Jutlandia is ready to take responsibility for its own development while supporting growth in the green and maritime sectors
Købet sender samtidig et klart signal: Jutlandia er klar til at tage ansvar for sin egen udvikling, og for at understøtte væksten i hele den grønne og maritime sektor.
